Chesapeake Almanac: Following the Bay Through the Seasons
Published in Paperback by Tidewater Pub (November, 1993)
Average review score:

If you love Chesapeake Bay, this is your book.If you live on, near or visit and love Chesapeake Bay you should read this engaging and informative book. A collection of John Page William Jr.'s columns from "Chesapeake Bay Magazine," the book walks you through a year on the Bay and it's surrounding country. Once you've read it, you'll be amazed at how it sharpens your view of what is going on around you on or along the water. This is a book for anyone who enjoys the Bay in any way -- boating, camping, cottaging, or just sitting by the waterside on a quiet afternoon with a line in the water. Highly recommended!

A Child Shall Lead Them
Published in Paperback by Steeple Hill (September, 1901)
Average review score:

A wonderful book!I really enjoyed this book. I highly recommend it and would give it more stars if I could. This is the second book in the series, the first being "Cassandra's Song." This one tells about Andrew's second daughter Brianna, who falls in love and comes to adopt a sweet baby girl. I really found the story
interesting and hard to put down.

Chronicles of the Vikings: Records, Memorials and Myths
Published in Hardcover by Univ of Toronto Pr (January, 1996)
Average review score:

A fine introduction to Viking culture.Dr. Page is among the foremost scholars to focus on the Viking era. This particular piece is mostly introductory, but is of value even to those with a deeper interest in the subject. For beginners, the book presents the Vikings in their own words. Dr. Page has provided useful explication to the texts he has chosen to help the novice understand the issues and background involved. The book's introduction, which contains a priceless piece on the difficulties of language and transliteration, will give a new appreciation of this kind of scholarship to those who have only dealt with this material in translation. For the serious scholar comfortable with Runic writing and transliteration, Page's work in this volume stands as a guide to the art of teaching this difficult material. Page's work is accessible--moreso to the novice, probably, than this review. This book is a welcome addition to any Viking scholar's library.

Citrus Brights Magnetic Page Photo Album
Published in Hardcover by C R Gibson Co (2000)
Average review score:

Great Photo AlbumKaren Comerford was my art teacher in junior high school. She was a beautiful and talented teacher then and I can't believe I bought something like this simply because it appealed to my eye. I didn't even need a photo album and then to find out that it is Karen Comerford's creation...well then I am not surprised!

CodeNotes for ASP.NET
Published in Paperback by Random House Trade Paperbacks (13 August, 2002)
Average review score:

Superb and succinct introThis is the best book I've read in the CodeNotes series and a superb introduction to ASP.NET. The CodeNote authors have really mastered their craft by now and it shows with this book. All major aspects of ASP.NET are covered including security, caching, web forms, and session storage. What is most impressive about this book is how well written it is, which makes it easy to digest all the new technical topics. I wouldn't recommend this book as a reference, but as a starter guide I can't imagine a quicker way to ramp up on the technology.

Communities of Women: Historical Perspectives
Published in Paperback by University of Otago Press (September, 2002)
Average review score:

A Collection to RememberCommunities of Women is a suprising book. A myriad group of authors from all fields of history explore a range of communities from the medieval past to the Australasian present. I highly recommend it for courses in Gender Studies or Women's History, since its broad outlook will allow students to think about the complex questions of defining "community" and whether there are commonalities among women throughout the ages.
